I still remember the old Mitsubishi, I think it was Charisma that my friend had, suffered from carbon build up when she had around 50k on the clock, he went to the mechanic with having hard start and rough idle. I also read that 2.0 FSI engine suffers that from what I read but did not find anything about our small engines like 1.2 TSI  1.4 TSI, anybody suffered that or has any knowledge? 

 

What is your opinion about carbon cleaning?

Ive always been a bit reluctant due to it leaving bits kicking about in the bores etc and causing more issues....

 

 

A bit of heavy driving occasionally should help prevent this to some degree.
