Autolock in Yeti 2013

Featured Replies

I just bought a manual Yeti 2014 (2013 model) and while the manual says that autolock is supposed to engage when reaching 15kph it does not.
I tried entering the maxidot menu via the 'A' button but it doesn't open any menu. I pressed much more than 7 seconds, but nothing.
I don't have the 'C' and 'D' buttons.

Maybe this means I don't have the maxidot menu, I don't know, but the center panel doesn't look like an old LCD but rather a pretty white on black info screen. However - The open doors image does not show on it but rather as a red horizontal image on top of the fuel gauge, so maybe this isn't maxidot

Is there any other way to set the autolock option?

If you don't get an image of the car showing which doors are open, it's not a maxidot I'm afraid.

VCDS can make the changes, not sure where in the world you are but you might find a local member who can help :)

So If I connect an OBD2 BT connector and install VCDS on my phone I can do that there?

VCDS is piece of diagnostic equipment so the it's software won't work with a generic OBD2 BT device.

If you want a cheaper option you should look at OBDeleven. It might be able to make these changes but I've never used it so I can't be sure.

ok. thanks. just wanted to make sure that the option is indeed hidden somewhere, so I don't go through all the hassle of buying the connector etc. only to find that my car cannot actually do this

Great map!
No one close, though...
thanks

Err?

Where are you?
You haven't stated that or what model or year your car is.

South-Center Israel, which is far from the two I can see on the map.
It's a manual Yeti 2014 but a 2013 model (so I believe because of the round fog lights), 1.2TSI

Hello ita,

I've had two lots of free VCDS help from fellow members;

Barrie very kindly re-coded my Roomster so all doors lock/unlock with just one click on the remote (done at Briskoda national bash at Rockingham);

And Aadil very kindly checked whether my getting HID headlights kits fitted had thrown up any error codes. (It hadn't.)

Great help and support to be had from fellow Briskoda members! (if you can get to one...)

Good luck, keep us posted.

Richard
