Rear Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

I have rear sensors fitted to my VRS, from factory, and they have started to play up.

When put in reverse, they beep as though there is something close, even though there isn't.

From experience working at a Skoda main dealer, do we think a sensor has failed?

Thanks

Had some heavy rain the other day...it gets washed every weekend to be fair, and its been ok till now.

Mine does it sometimes if it's been raining usually the far left one might just be that

Hmm odd. I'll have a look at the weekend and see what's occurring I think

Gave it a wash last night, and had a fiddle with the wires that you can see in the boot and it seems to be working today!?

First time it happened to me i had an X5 nearly run into the back of me, checked for damage( it was dark and raining heavy) no damage continued my drive got to a car park and the rear sensor was going crazy so thought he had hit me and didnt spot the damage. Check it the next day during the day couldnt see any damage and rear sensor was fine.

Happened again in heavy rain then stopped later on that day did some research and read its the same with a few people in the rain/after a wash.

My short experience with this car...fabia mk2 level 3..and the reversing sensors

don't wax them !!!?

cheers

geof
