My Fabia has stated making a noise when I turn it on, seems to be coming from the unit behind the glove box. It also occurs sporadically which is great for troubleshooting it. I've recorded the sound if anyone has any ideas what is could be please let me know.

heater matrix?

Could be flap motors or vent (Blower motor). Is it doing it with the engine off, rather then a mechanical noise? The blower fan is just behind where you are looking.

took it back to the dealer, they're ordering a replacement flap motor.

Hope they sort it. Can you do me a small favour... That bit of soundproofing trim, could you give me the part number from it if you have time. Mine went walks once after a service and the dealer is no longer trading. I would like to trace the part to replace it. I have never had one on the drivers side, dunno if you have? Not tsure if its due to pedals or if when I got the car, the dealer had duel controls fitted for me so I wonder if the fitter discarded that, too!
