Very pleased owner

Featured Replies

Picked up my 02 plate octavia vrs a couple of weeks ago, and cannot find a single thing to complain about, absolutely worth every penny in cost of the car and in fuel that its drinking, have a couple of queries if anybody can help me out? firstly i sometimes feel a very light restriction on the accelerator pedal when booting it, usually in 2nd gear, accompanied by some twitching of the clutch pedal until i floor the throttle, it just feels like something is catching, but is this deliberate? also after finally searching here and finding the answer to the anti theft aerial problem, sometimes the cd changer shows 'check cartridge' or something similar, just after changing a cd, but it plays ok once ive turned off the ignition and back on? any help much obliged!

Hello and Welcome:D

No idea about your little problems though i'm afraid, glad your liking your new wheels though!!!

i wouldn't worry about mileage,my Octy vRS is very nearly 2.5 years old and has covered 70,000 miles already.

Its converted to LPG aswell and has quite a few modifications.

Hope you enjoy your time here,it will become addictive!!!!!

Welcome

The Octy vRS is a great car :D - the only real fault (if ypu can call it that) is the restricted rear visibility which can hamper attempts at reverse parking - though this can be solved with addition of reverse parking sensors

Glad to hear you enjoy the car  I have no idea on the problems you are experiencing though

Welcome to briskoda and hope you continue to enjoy your new car and get the wee problem sorted soon :)

its already fitted with rear parking sensors, i assume this is a factory option then? anyway after just being screwed for an extra hundred quid on my insurance policy for simply changing my postcode... time to go for an aggressive-feeling-ripped-off-thrash, i'm still puzzled by the accelerator pedal problem, i'm told that its some kind of anti theft or clutch saving thing and a similar thing is fitted to the audis? still have no idea perhaps time to call autosales and use that 12 month warranty!
