I recently fitted a new turbo and ever since I can hear a distinctive blowing (sounds like when you blow a bit of paper) and a lack of power. I'm also getting a fair bit of black smoke. When I changed the turbo I cleaned out the EGR valve thoroughly and all pipes etc (including intercooler). I think I have narrowed it down to air leaking from the pipe coming out from the bottom of the inter cooler, is this a common place for boost to leak from? 

 

Although I managed to change the turbo, im not completely savvy with all of the parts and when I type in 'boost pipes' or 'intercooler pipes', I'm faced with lots of different options, can anyone point me in the direction of a direct replacement please?

check the bottom pipe from the EGR if the rubber seal has fallen out (common) this can lead to poor performance as its not making a proper seal.
