Dash making noise/Rattle

Featured Replies

Anyone having issues with noise or rattles coming from the dash while driving at around 30km?

I bought the car back and the main dealer said they found something loose in the a/c matrix and it's now fixed...ye's probably but there's still noise coming from the dash area which is rather annoying!

Where abouts on the dash is the noise coming from? Had a problem with mine around the glove box - removed the plastic cap to the left of the glove box and refitted it - no problems since.

There is 2 locations 1 on the left hand side of the glove box which is some times noisey other times not. The other is while driving at around 30km in the center of the dash at the window.

I have had this. When it nexts start up, try pushing the handbrake sideways to the passenger side and/or the drivers side.

I discovered that my centre dash rattle (and I was convinced it was the dash as was anyone else in the front) was actually being projected forward from the handbrake. I know I'm not the only person who noted this cunning little mind game the S2 likes to play.

Yes, as bizarre as it may seem, I remember the same thing with my SII.  The handbrake area was quite sensitive to noises around the front area in general.

I have just cured the various interior noises in my 2014 Estate, not sure where your noise is coming from but if it is the glovebox area have a look at my recent posts as I completely cured the creaking with wiring loom tape applied to the underside of the dash shut line, and the side panel. Cheers Dave
