Octavia seats fits to Yeti ?

Featured Replies

Hello

I just bought my old company Yeti. 2013, 2.0 TDI. I have driven with it over 3 years and I know this car well.

Now as an owner I want to make few quick changes. Main issue are the uncomfortable front seats. I really miss sacral support on the longer trips.

Dose anyone knows if(or which?) the more comfortable Octavia front seats might fit to Yeti in bolt on method ?

Yeti fan from Estonia

I imagine Octavia seats could be too low ?

Maybe something from the VW Tiguan and Audi Q3 would be a better bet ?

Why not fit Yeti seats?
The Elegance and SE L up models have comfortable seats with adjustable lumber support.

The Octavia seats are far more comfortable I  agree.

Mk2 Octy seats should fit but I can't see them having enough height adjustment for the Yeti.

The uncomfortable driver seat in my Octavia vrs was what put me off it,have had the Yeti over 3 years and never had a problem.

different seats suit different bums etc!

Are VAG seats simple plug and play? With my last car (a Jag x-type) it was not straight forward to swap seats, even from another x-type - because the seat's airbag/occupancy detection sensors were coded into the car....

Problem with Yeti is that I have not manage to find any in local scrapyards. But Octavia has been most selling in the country last 10 years. I have no problem to find Octavia seats.

I'd echo the height adjustment issue. But they should physically fit. If you turned up with the Yeti and the passenger seat already removed, you might be able to quickly try one for size while you're at the breakers yard?

I fitted Golf Mk6 GT seats to my Mk2 Octy though, as I didn't find the standard ones that supportive. But as said, everyone is different and we're not all going to suit the same seats.

It's not straight forward but as long as you stay with the same platform it's doable. Mk6 Golf, Mk2 Octavia, Yeti etc. Sometimes you run into issues with the modules being different and sometimes a bit of coding can be required but generally VAG work on economics of scale so a lot of parts are interchangeable.
