Thanks for posting, that does look good and fits well with the chrome theme. However I have a flush fit dual USB permanently fitted to my 12v socket, for charging my phone, so it's a function over from scenario there :)

Doesn't that drain your battery? I assume that even without anything plugged into the USB sockets it is still pulling some charge

No issue with drain in the 2 years or so I've had it. Still on its original battery approaching 5 years too. It gets a 50 mile round trip every weekday though, so no idea if the drain would affect less frequently used cars.

Now this I need to see. It’s annoying that the Octy gets such cheap looking window switches, but I’m not so sure I would fit them in my car as I’m going for the darker look inside. Can’t wait to see it done though :)

Are these switches the same on Facelift Octavia?  My Polo has the windows/ light switches in chrome and should be receiving my FL3 SeTech soon. Should I get myself prepared to swap?

Yeah they look the same in the FL, not sure if they are the same as in the Polo though :)

So after battling with trying to get the bloody thing out of the door - it's a bit of a mission as it's held in tight and the trim around it seems to mark quite easily

It's a no go... The switch I received has indent tabs for the circuit board in a slightly different place to mine. This means I can't swap the circuit boards over and retain the green backlighting.

It's not something I thought would be an issue or needed to be checked when ordering. Looking up the part number online 5G0959857C or 5G0959857E most have the same indent tabs as mine but some have them slightly different as the one I bought. Anyone looking to do this, make sure the indent tabs are the same as your existing switch!

The new switch works fine just has the wrong backlighting colour (as it's from the Golf) so back on eBay it goes and the hunt continues for a well priced replacement.

The switches themselves look like they'll pop off quite readily...?
