Problem is, guy I bought it off did a really poor job and it looks terrible. I've sprayed stuff before with OK results. I want it to look factory, and I really don't think I'm capable of that with a can. Both garages I spoke to said they'd have to put some elastic type compound in with the paint because it's going to be on plastic- no way I'll be able to do stuff like that.

Had another quote yesterday for £210! Think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet. Suppose it's worth it if it lasts a long time (which it should, if done proffesionally).

I just had pretty much the same stuff done on my fabia. If I were you i would just buy a couple of rattle cans and do it yourself. I had my grille painted by a professional and it didnt look that great, but you cant see much unless you get your microscope out, and i let the apprentice have a go on my light brows. They look ok. The cans are about

Plasticote paint is available in aerosols from B&Q.You only need the primer to have a plasticizer in it. If you take your time, the results will be very good

Had my milotec grille sprayed by a local bodyshop for

That looks like a good job.

I suppose I am actually getting two grilles and the eyebrows done, so the price isn't that bad. It would take me a very long time to get it done, and I always seem to bugger up the laquer.

Think I'll probably get it done properly.

I don't think that's too bad a price tbh. You get what you pay for at the end of the day and if you'll get a better job done then I'd say pay it....
