Anyone watch DIY SOS tonight.?

Not usually a big fan, but having spent nearly 3 years on dialysis, I found it quite interesting.

As usual there was some dramatisation / some factual inconsistencies but not too

many.

Always good to highlight the cause.

I always cry at diy sos. I'm a big wus and sucker for the dramatisation especially when the sad or uplifting music starts.

Stiff upper lip is failing me.

Funnily enough I have just delivered a cooker to the current DIY SOS big build this morning. It will be on TV at a later date. Unfortunately I will not be on tv as the kitchen is being installed over the weekend and I just delivered it to a container in the same street.

4 weeks.

It was my dads. Two years ago today.

Ended up been a clot in the renal vein. So it had to come out unfortunately.

That sucks, sorry to hear it.

The 2 others that were done the same week as mine failed pretty quickly. It happens. It's a lottery for sure.

Hope your call comes soon.

My last one, although it worked, never achieved over 30% function. Enough to stave off dialysis, but not a host of other symptoms.

This one is far better out the box. Completely different experience. Although it's been biopsied already. They are quite trigger happy with that in Edinburgh.
