Strange beep sound

Featured Replies

Just got my Superb back from the shop after getting a tow hook mounted. Now there are some beep sounds from the rear when I put the ignition on...

Any ideas?

Sounds like they have fitted a wiring kit that is aftermarket (so will not function fully the way Škoda intended and cannot be coded with VCDS or Skodas ODIS) tit sounds like it's the relays you can hear.

I haven't testes it yet since my trailer has 7 pole and the car has 13 pole connection. The store didn't have the connector I needed...

If it doesn't work with the parking sensors in the rear or I get any kind of error in the display, they will be getting it right back.!

I coded (or tried to) one of the first Yetis with an aftermarket towbar fitted, it all worked OK but didn’t have the full functions that a factory fit bar has (IIRC the trailer showing on the Columbus screen was one it didn’t cover) things have moved on a bit with the MQB platform, but it’s worth checking.

The owner finally got some compensation from SUK as it was meant to be a dealer fit towbar with ‘factory towbar prep loom’ .... but it wasn’t.
