just had my silverline TD serviced, its 2 years old so I booked it into its second annual. Whilst reading the invoice I was a bit suprised to notice the fuel filter had not been changed, or at least i cant see it mentioned.

So how often are they changed? anyone enlighten me please.:confused:

Due at 50k or 60k IIRC

My 2002 Octavia's Service Schedule mentions the diesel engine fuel filter being drained every 30,000km and being replaced every 60,000km.

Yeah, assuming its a PD, they usually schedule the fuel filter every 20,000 miles. Not sure about on 12 monthly low-mileage servicing though.

Fuel filter is changed at 40,000 miles on PD and TD diesel engines except the 2.5 which is 20k.

Assuming running on regular diesel.

Thanks for the quick response all:thumbup: .............it seems, according to the back of the service sheet attached to the bill, that its just drained at this service.
