Hi all,

 

Just on our way to the East Mids this evening and the PID was playing music from the memory card when it suddenly went to mono audio out of the driver's side speakers only!!! The radio and CD continue to work as normal out of all speakers but as soon as you go back to the music on the PID itself it is back to driver's side only..... I've tried powering off the PID and removing it and reconnecting it and also removing and reinserting the memory card but no joy. 

 

Anyone else had this? Is it looking like a new PID?

Try doing a full reset of PID. I forget, but, I think you press and hold the screen whilst turning unit on. If you need another PID I have a spare for sale. Check EBay too. There are usually some around.

Its the dash board connectors, take the mount off and refit it and you should get the stereo effect back, always worked with My PID when I had it.

The cars only nine months old so it'll be back under warranty.

I tried removing the PID from the mount and the mount from the dash and putting it back to no avail. 

 

I'll try another memory card tomorrow and try the full reset thing too and come back if they make any difference.

Carried out the factory reset whilst we were all outside talking at the meet earlier and the PID is behaving again now. Will keep an eye on it to see if it was a one off.

 

Just got to set everything back up on it now as it's obviously back to how it was when brand new!!!!

The full reset sometimes retains some information. It doesn't always revert to full factory settings. Expect to reset from time to time. On mine it loses voice to tell you when turn expected etc.
