Scout FL

Where are the rubbing strips... just kidding :D

The alloys look a bit simpler and hopefully are easier to clean.

Our pre-FL moonwhite Scout is just over a year old, one thing I've noticed compared with the MkII Scout is the plastic trim is unpainted and has an orange-peel pattern to it on the MkIII. This makes it a nightmare to keep clean and looking good, it was grey painted on my older Scout and could be polished along with the paintwork etc. I now go through a lot more back-to-black!

What do you mean by ambient lighting, are there additional interior lights?

It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the LED headlights, the dull halogens on our Scout are a huge backwards step on our car.

Ambient lighting, thin led strips along each door trim edge, 10 colours to choose. Along with footwell lighting front and rear.

Will get some pictures when its darker.

The wheels are simpler, i thought the same.

I use AutoBrite Direct Endurance for the black, its very thick and lasts well, seems to repel the dirt.

I also think the wing mirrors are auto dimming!

Just got her home. I was initially worried it might not be different enough from the old one but more than happy.

Moon whites a great colour. Really sharp, lots if little differences , subtle but add up overall.

Bigger stereo screen, ambient lighting lifts the cabin, illuminated door lights. To top it all folding dimming mirrors. Not in the brochure, didn't spec as an option but they are on it.

Looking forward to testing the lights tonight.

Ask away if you have any questions.

Gorgeous looking car, I actually prefer it without the rubbing strips.  Great that you've got the auto folding mirrors, mine didn't have them as standard unfortunately. Enjoy ...
