Just noticed Asda brand oil 5w40 on sale £13 for 5 litres, meets 505.01 spec, normally sells for £20

Not too sure but chances are it'll be branded oil in an Asda bottle. Not sure about the grade though. 5w 30 I thought.

vw 502.00 or 505.01. 5W40. Never used it. Don't know who the manufaturuer will be but it won't be asda!!!

I've used it a few times with no issues and it will be produced by one of the big oil companies such as Comma so no hesitation in recommending Asda oils
