immobiliser problem skoda citigo

Featured Replies

Went into shop, when I came out again car would not start. Tried three different keys with no luck, got a guy we know out with diagnostic machine and it has shown that it is definitely immobilizer problem. Any tips on how to get around this that wont cost an absolute arm and leg?

Welcome.

Is this a car you have had for a while, is it a new car or whats the story,

and did it come with 3 keys or has a new one been made up and coded and could this be why the issue has arisen?,

I've had the car from Jan '16 it's 2013 model, the 3 keys all came with car 2 of them are remotes and I think the other maybe a service key perhaps? If it was a key that caused the problem is there an easy fix?

Just out of interest, were new Citigos supplied with 2 remote keyfobs in 2014? I bought my 2014 model used in 2015 and it came with one remote keyfob and a normal key.

Still come with the remote/folding key and the normal key.
