Possible screen washer leak

Featured Replies

Has anybody had any issues with screen washer leaks on their MkIII Superb?

I have had the car 6 months and had not issues with screen washer. Filled it up last weekend after warning light came on, then warning light came on again today. Topped up over 2 litres which I would not have used in a week. Looked under the car and it is dripping out of somewhere. Now not sure if I should pop the car back to the dealer, which I am sure is what I should do but is a hassle, or try a home repair.

Would love to know if anybody else had a leaky washer tank.

I would pop the passengers side foglight out and see if a hose has come off or if it is leaking from the motor, a simple ‘push back on’ I would do myself, anything else take it back to the dealer.

Mine is fine with no leaks.

Does anybody know  where there are diagrams for how the washer pipes route through the engine bay.

I am going to try to fix myself as @Gizmo suggested but looking for a diagram to help. Might be I conceded at go back to the dealer, but a self fit appeals more than trying to find time to pop to the dealer.

I would hazard a guess the pipe will be taped to the wiring loom and would run up the N/S inner wing?

nowhere near the car at the moment though to check.

Alternatively fill the bottle with water and see where the water collects on the floor, I imagine it will either be under the bottle or under one of the headlight washers.
