01274 Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor - FAULT

Featured Replies

Its currently 26 degrees and my AC has stopped working. I have the Climatronic digital display.

I have it set to LO and AC on and the air coming out of the vents is warm, not even slightly cold.

I did a scan of my car using Carista and a OBD2 wifi dongle and got this code.

01274 Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor (V71) - the dreaded dash out motor replacement which Skoda are quoting me will cost £157 for the part and 1 to 2 hours labour at £88+VAT (£105) I am also currently awaiting a call from a local garage on his quote.

Before this issue arose my AC was super chilly and lovely... now its good old fashioned windows open.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to half fix this before I can get it officialy fixed as it seems no one has had this issue on the new fabia but have on other skoda models incl fabia gen 1.

You could try some flapaerobics (randomly press the Climatronic controls for 10 minutes); that costs for your time plus a little fuel.

Not sure what you mean but I have pressed the buttons quite a fair amount in both gentle and slightly more aggressively haha
