Oh, i forgot to mention... the other side, the screw holding the brake disc in place is ruined, i have no idea how im planning to get it out, anyone got a tip for that?

 

Should I be starting another thread for these questions? im not too sure sorry.

Looks like the last owner knew all about it, as there was only 1 pad in the calliper, theyve clearly been off before and hes struggled to get the two and the disk squeezed back in

You might have to drill the knackered disc screw out.

I'm to be totally blunt here what with this and a seized calliper with only one pad in place I would get this car properly checked over before I EVEN THOUGHT about driving it any further let alone fitting a tow bar

 

Honestly mate if someone is prepared not only to sell a car in such a condition ( quite possibly drive around like it too ) what else has been bodged ?? IT BEGGERS BELIEVE 

 

PLEASE GET IT PROFESSIONALLY CHECKED OUT

You may well be able to knock the disc screw round with a hammer and punch.

I wouldnt even call it a bodge, its just not even done at all, a bodge suggests it still works lol..

 

do you guys know if audi A3, seat leon callipers etc will fit? headin off to the scrappies in the mornin

Got a new calliper on, new pads and discs. All feels brand new. Thanks guys. All left is for the tow bar to go on.
