ahhhhhh - I was going to pull my current Bolero out again and check this, so it goes into the back of the quadlock connector and then that clicks into the right bottom corner? makes sense - thanks for the confirmation :)

so massive thanks to Adamal on here, my amundsen+ is in and working! - I managed to break a part in the cabin light fitting the mic, but thats an easy ebay sort. The maps are a bit out of date though, reading on here they can be downloaded, but need to go on an official Skoda SD card? can these be bought? obviously my head unit did not come with one - ta

No, your Amundsen + unit needs a single use SD card with maps already loaded on. You're confusing the new Amundsen II unit which has free downloads.

Thanks, so how do I go about upgrading my maps then? Can this be done on any SD card?

As I just said. You need to buy a Skoda SD card for the Amundsen + unit. It needs to be new (single use) as if it's been used before it's locked to the machine it was used in.

thanks, is this only off Skoda themselves then?

You can sometimes get them off ebay for much less than the dealers, but make sure it's a new card. There are people reportedly getting non genuine copies from Ebay too, some of them sometimes work....

That looks about right.

When I notified Navteq (Here) of a map error it took 5 years for it to me corrected, so don't hold your breath :crying:
