Stainless steel exhaust Oxfordshire

Featured Replies

Hi

So I am thinking about having a stainless steel exhaust made and fitted. Nothing too noisy, just a resonated one with a nice tone. Now I did hear from a mate of a good company he used a few years ago in Northampton, but just my luck they are no longer trading now. My question is, can anyone recommend a company around or in Oxfordshire, who make good quality exhausts at a reasonable price.

Might go for an off the shelf one. Just trying to decide which make is not too noisy. Phoned one quality local guy and he would make one up for £1500, bloody hell!! Even he suggested going for a ready made one, very honest of him.

Hard knocks speed shop in Little Chesterton (OX253PD) have a good reputation. He makes them custom for your car. They have a website with details on. Hope that's a help.

Thank's VRSrhino89, but I now have one fitted by Tony Banks of Leeds. Had it done a couple of weeks ago and worth the trip as his prices are good compared to other garages making up exhausts as part of the Longlife exhaust system franchise. I had this info going in another post of mine somewhere on this site. Also mentioned it was a bit loud for a system that was meant to be just mid-sport. They make them to 4 different settings, from quiet, mid-sport, loud and blow your ears off loud . By luck, I had to make a trip up to Newcastle Upon Tyne to make my mums last wish come true, spread her ashes on the Tyne river. On the way I arranged to drop into Tony Banks and have them make the exhaust quieter, which they did at no extra charge. It is now on a setting of mild sport, They just fitted baffles in a silencer that did not have any. Now it's a lot better on my old ears, but still sounds quite sporty. In fact, I just got back 2 hours ago. Tony Banks place is a long way to go from Oxfordshire, but his prices are good and he has a great reputation on his work.
