Rear spring for Fabia mk1

Featured Replies

I installed new springs on my car, Fabia mk1 1.9 sdi. I installed SACHS model, 996657, it is only model for Skoda Fabia hatchback. It even has three dots like genuine one, orange yellow orange. Only one problem, car sits lower with new springs, about 1,5cm than with old ones. And i have 2cm difference front axle to rear. How is this possible.

Do you know who makes genuine coil springs?

Installed new SACHS shocks, can this be a problem?

The shocks have no effect on ride height. only the springs. I recently fitted four new Kilen branded springs to my Fabia and the height is fine. Are you sure you got the right springs?

Checked ZF online cat- Sachs ID looks correct for Standard suspension.

Maybe Your car have Heavy Duty suspension from factory?

Maybe previous springs were wrong and correct ones now looks too low?

Maybe in correct Sachs box were incorrect springs inside?

Few months ago replaced original 10 years old front springs to new Lesjofors springs- front lifted maybe just for 1cm...
