Traffic Assist start

Featured Replies

Hello. Loving my 4 month old Superb L&K. I use acc quite a lot but don't normally have it turned on when in bad traffic.  I thought I would try it. It stops fine but does not start again. This happens whether the stop start has stopped the engine or the auto hold. When it stops a message pops up saying acc ready so I expect it to start itself.  I heard it can take a while before it pulls away but I waited quite a long time and sometimes the engine started again but the car didn't move. In the end I just started manually. Am I doing something wrong or does it take ages? Thanks.

Ignore me. Just found out it doesn't start itself. So all is ok. Obviously would be dangerous if it suddenly pulled out itself at a roundabout etc.

Sorry, I won't. :)

Not sure what you found out, but the answer to your initial query is to pull back on the ACC stalk (it's marked 'Resume') or give a dab on the accelerator pedal.

Thanks. That's what I found out. I knew you did something with the stalk by I I thought it was press the button in on the end. That's why it wasnt moving. Silly me.

It will actually pull away itself, but only for around 3 seconds after you have stopped, after that you need to do as Alex suggested above.
