1.9Tdi DSG Performance Modifications

Featured Replies

Hi ,

I have trawled many forums to link in with others who own and love  the Octavia MK II 1.9Tdi , with the intention of sharing information that will allow us all to enjoy this wonderful car to it's  true extent  with superior handling and fantastic performance,  but so far it has not been  possible  to keep on track with the intended goal without  some one going off  on one and completely ruining the whole point to the discussion.

I would welcome all information on performance tuning  from those who wish to see this car stand out from the crowd , particularly from those who believe that unless you have done the work  explored the options and  have gained  real results through experience , well then you are just repeating something you really do not understand  , I am talking about EXTREME DIY ,  I am talking about those who  do not  suffer fools , I am talking about those who not only talk about  doing the business , but those who have  and know what thy are talking about - in other words you have gained real results

Now is the time  TO SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE.

My Octavia has covered over 500K to date , will still do 200k per hour, will out pace on acceleration,  any 1.9Tdi / 2.0 Tdi Audi - VW - and it still has its original engine - never removed or overhauled, it has never been cracked open.

I have remapped the ECU, modified the air intake and completely removed both the ERG  system and Cat.

I would welcome any information on upgrading from the standard turbo to increase BHP , at present I would estimate  not state, that at present I have around 140 - 150 BHP

All on DSG gear box with no problems

I am looking at gas flowing the head , bigger valves , bigger intercooler  and hopfully a lot more

So if you can suggest more mods that will yield addition BHP , please do share -  it will benefit us all !

"For those who doubt  and wonder why, well it's all because I can"

Because you can is as good an excuse as any other!
