Selling Yeti, buying a Octavia Scout

I have a Yeti 4x4 CR Activ 2.0l TDi 110 bph 12 plate.  It has 15 inch wheels and I have winter and ordinary tyres.  Will my wheels fit a 15 plate Octavia?

Secondly, I need to do a bit of work on the Yeti - it has a bit of work to do - better to take trade in or private sale?   It has yet to be serviced this year, has MOT but has not had the emissions fix done.

Welcome.

If your Yeti has not had 'The Fix' /  Skoda / VW's Service Campaign to apply new Engine Management Software then maybe you might find a buyer privately.

Is the Trade in offer any good?   Maybe try a for sale as in BRISKODA.

Where are you buying, Skoda Specialist Cars John Clark?

I have an trade in offer of £5,800 and the book value is £6,200 and it needs body work and a service.  It has not had the fix - so is a May 2012 reg. 48,000 on clock, full service history.

I am buying from Motorpoint.  The car is a 2015 Octavia Scout TDi 4x4 with 2.0litre 148 bph engine.  Wheels on it currently are 17 inch - but Yeti had 15 inch wheels.

Ok I'm no expert on these things but logical thinking would imply that the gap between a 15 inch wheel and the wheel arch will look, well Micky mouse !! ( see I told you I wasn't an expert ! )

If the Wheels fit over the brakes i assume the OP knows that the tyre from those on the Yeti size is correct for the Octavia.

The space is between Arches and Tyres, not between Wheels & Tyres.

http://kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator

Check the Owners Manual for the Octavia Scout and see the recommended Wheel / Tyre size that Skoda recommend if snow chains were to be fitted,

or maybe someone with a Owners manual can check.

I need to make a correction the wheels are 16 inch as are the tyres.  I have been told that I can get Skoda steel wheels for £79 + VAT and that they should fit the Octavia Scout but I need to check the number of mounting holes and that braes will work as suggested.  Will let you know how I get on.  Had an old 2009 Octavia TDi SE 140bph hatchback before the Yeti so will be good to have more power!  However, will miss the Yeti's good road manners, and comfortable gearing in town.  Not so good for A roads.    Does anyone want to offer more than the trade in?  Mileage is now 48,600 full service history,  MoT til March 18, no VW fix yet.

What is the Bodywork the known rusting issue that can get done under the Corrosion Warranty even if not a holed panel?

I doubt if many will want to other that much more than the WBAC offer which is likely rubbish.

£5,800 seems to be good if you are getting that without spending more on the Yeti.

Advertise and see what results you get, BRISKODA is cheap for an advert.

?

What has been done with the Full Service History, as per Service Schedule / Guidelines.

Oil & Filter Changes (4 times now) and has the Haldex Service done, then the Brake Fluid changed twice already?

@ 3 years then 2 years later.

*Maybe take the Trade in and save yourself a couple of hundred quid getting the Service done before selling privately.*

Or expect to get a price according to the current condition and servicing as some buyers will service again anyway.

As to wheels  5 holes for studs,  they are 5 x 112.
