The dealer had an S class hatchback/saloon, my son dragged me away from it

You pays your money and makes your choice. Superb is a lot of car for the money and may make some Merc owners tearful when you see what you do and don't get.

I am sure it's a nice place to be and in a different class altogether.

What model is it Litch?

Agreed, ive been some Elegance models and also a new MK3 L&K at the dealers

Very nice, all the best with it!  Must be a nice step up in refinement and comfort, not that there's anything wrong with the Superb!

I would say, Ive had a Mondeo 130PS 6 speed (crazy but smokey) The Superb, and now the merc BUT, between the Mondeo and Superb I had a Chevvy....

Well, ok, a Daewoo, built in Korea with an Italian diesel engine and TBH, it was bigger inside than the Superb...

Looks like the big Honda (model?) but no dealer network now and parts like.............Ford x 10 in price
