Passengener side electric window

Featured Replies

Today on my way to work we had a rare sunny day in Scotland and decided to put the windows down but passenger side doesn't seem to be working, no sound at all from the motor?

Please say I've done something stupid and hit some lock feature and its not really broke? Neither driver side or passenger side switch seems to be working......

Thanks

Mick

School boy error on my half? Tried using the fob to lower the window however It worked and when I put it back up the switch worked again?

Guess this a feature Ive not figured out yet....

Yeah, you probably had water set off a "Trip"  And you inadvertently re-set it! Usually, lowering the windows down, holding the switch a few extra seconds, then raising them, again holding the switch a few seconds, re-sets the auto function. This will be needed if you take of the battery or if water/damp prevents them from running correctly. You can also operate the windows with the key in the lock. Turn to unlock and hold, windows lower... Turn to lock and hold, windows raise. Let the key go mid function, they will stop where you let go.  Some models can be operated directly from the key fob, press and hold. I can't do this but I am under the impression it can be set. Never tried!

Thanks bud, Clears that one up.

Was ready for losing the head as the passenger side window went in my old fabia, Was still broken 3 years later when I scrapped it!

I can only think that it was the appearance of the sun, not normal up here as you know!

Seriously, I've never seen that sort of electric window behaviour, maybe a one off, or the start of something new?
