Hello All,

Please, is here anyone who has similar experience with idle rev issue as on the video below?

Idle rev issue

It has started today on warm engine. Sometimes the rev counter stay on 1500 rpm. The car running normaly under any gear. The problem appear just when the gear knob is in neutral position. I have manual gearbox.

Car always run on Shell V-power, no modification, 137k on the clock. Spark plugs changed 5k miles ago, PCV valve 30k ago.

Thanks for any idea.

I wondered if perhaps the oil dipstick wasn't seated properly and was allowing air to escape.  If you've checked that and it's since running better than it may be that it wasn't seated quite right beforehand.  I've had it where the garage haven't put the dipstick back in properly and I hadn't noticed and the revs were all over the place.
