Audi A3/S3 Door Mirrors

Featured Replies

Some w****** have stolen the door mirrors off my brothers Audi S3 last night.

Have scratched the door aswell and have cut the wires right near the door,i'm sure that these are on a loom but its just the big scratch and slight denting on the door thats going to be hard to rectify

Does anyone know how much replacement mirrors cost and where the best place to get them from is?

He dosen't want the brushed alloy ones again as they'll only more than likely get stolen again.

any help/advice much appreciated.

That's harsh man :thumbdwn: Has he tried e-bay?? They normally have that sort of stuff.

Utter barstewards! Really sorry to hear that.

I'd imagine they'd be about £80 each?

Fingers crossed it's not too much trouble for him to get some working properly, and get the damage rectified.

Cheers,

fortunately he's off to Australia on sunday for 3 weeks so i've got his car and the task has fallen to me.

Which is a pain as i was suppose to be using over the next few weeks as the Boxster is going to in to have the bumpers re-sprayed ready for selling/part ex in a few weeks time.

so need to get mirrors before i can use it as its horrible driving without mirrors.

there are some on ebay, but just the covers, need the whole unit as they have taken everything.

Electric heated units with covers in primer and then painted id expect a bill around £250+

The proper Audi metal ones cost an absolute arm and a leg (think I remember someone saying over £200 each or something daft).

BRING BACK ......

That'll teach 'em :D

i'd agree on the not cheap theme, heated electric mirrors do sound expensive, the glass alone is about £30 or something silly

i agree on the capital punishment off wy ther heads. barstewards . hope you get prob rectified. would b cheaper goin 2 breakers probly

Tragic, ive heard of that happening locally to me, Unfortunately I think its because they are a fortune from the dealers!! How did they get them off? Just kick them off? Scumbags!!

With a screw driver by the looks of things,

as obviously in there cautious removal its slipped and put a 3-5 inch scratch in the one of the doors.

They new how to get them off as they have cut the wires with side cutters and the mirror fixing base is broken so as not to damage the cover.

Deleted,same reply twice.

Hmmm - sad thing on Ebay is you're likely to come across the same mirrors and end up buying them back. Worth keeping your eye out for a set though, just in case it leads to a conviction, etc. :)

The loom might be able to be rejoined, but you might be looking at new door looms for each side. :( :thumbdwn:

Hanging's too good for them. Forcible castration with a wooden spoon first, THEN hanging.

I favour cutting a hand off or public flogging.

as there is nothing to put people off doing these types of crime as there isn't enough Police and the courts only slap them on the wrists.

And us normal regular people always feel the full force of the law if we do the slightest thing wrong.
