Richard Burns out off Rally GB

Featured Replies

He's ill and won't even get to start!

Full story here

That's one title gone... Shame cos he did play it well until they hit the tarmac stages.

Read about this this morning. Apparently he was driving on the Motorway in his Porsche on the way to Wales when he fainted  Seriosuly lucky that he was giving a lift to Markko Martin at the time who managed to grab the wheel and pull the car to the side of the road :eyecrazy: Must be of real concern to him for all sorts of reasons, but this sort of happening can also mean that you lose your license for a substantial period of time - guess at the moment he's just happy to be alive.

Agree that is bad news. Let's hope he will make a steady recovery, but the circumstances are indeed puzzling and do not bode well... :(

Not good news for his driving licences unless the docs can show that it was caused by something which won't happen again, eg a nasty virus. But what a lucky man given the circumstances! Hope he recovers soon.

Denis,

Apparently its a lingering effect from a couple of recent accidents, i doubt if it will be a long-term issue.

The real risk to his Licence would have been all those damn Mini-Gatso's they're deploying in Wales during the rally
