Featured Replies

I have news Guys a friend of mine just spotted this.. He said this could be The  problem (let me know if you see pic i attached below)

So i dont know about cars a lot and for that reason i dont know what that plug or cable  or whatever its called is

But as you could see in The pic that i pulled out that wire.. Its no working basicly i pulled The other two ( 1 at a Time) and The car dies when i pull it out but when i pull The Last one that în same side of The third cylinder. It does nothing so could that be The problem? Please Guys tell me whats it called and how much would it cost

Those are the connectors to the fuel injectors, needless to say they need to be plugged in....

If the third cylinder is not firing, its most likely coil, then plug, then injector in that order. But as Wino says, a compression test might eliminate a valve/piston issue. Your so called mobile mechanic could have done that in a few minutes.

Here's a plan,

1. buy a set of plugs (£9), T bar spanner (£4), change the plugs....

2. buy a new coil (£20-£25) try swapping as previously described....

3. Buy a diagnostic reader (~£17) then if code says misfire still on cyl 3, swap injector 1 and 3, reset codes and try again to see if the fault moved with the injector. If not, then its compression test time.

I see. Well i pulled it out to show you Guys. It seems to not work do you think if replace it. It Will fix The problem?

It doesn't "work" because the cylinder is not firing. Yeah it could be the injector, but also could be the plug, the coil, or wiring to the coil or injector.

You could swap the injectors round and check if fault moves.

A code reader would help you.....
