DSG perceived judder

Featured Replies

My 2016 mk3 Superb 1.4Tsi DSG suffers from a perceived clutch "judder" when moving off, particularly from cold. Judder is perhaps too strong a word but there is a gentle brief shunting motion until the car gets rolling and then it is fine. The problem seems to disappear once  warmed up and the gearbox behave very well on the open road. I asked the delaer to check on the first service this week but as I suspected they came back with "we can't fault it". Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks.

I had a similar thing a couple of winters ago when it was around or below freezing. It would judder maybe in the first 15mins of driving, but probably from 4th to 5th rather than from a standstill.  It settled down after a bit, but no fault was ever found.

This was on a 2.0tdi Octavia DSG, so slightly different setup.

Thanks. My previous car was also an Octavia 2.0 Tdi DSG and was always smooth. I have owned many autos including Volvo and more recently BMW and never experienced this issue with any of them.
