Fabia atd pd100 gtb turbo

Featured Replies

Hi all I've got a 2005 Fabia pd100 had for just over 2 years with a r-tec map 141bhp full service history been a great car. I've not long sold my track car and have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and am thinking of going for more power I have a set of of pd150

injectors. I know it's gonna cost a fair amount but the urge to build a nice daily sleeper that I don't have to worry about being stolen is got me thinking

Who has played with the pd100 I'd like to keep this engine as I know the history what sort of power can the 5 speed take

Technically Jason's (devonutopia) car started life as a pd100. I'm not sure what he did to it before he turned it into a pd130 then into a smoking monster lol.

The five-speed gearbox is stronger than the six, however the clutch and flywheel are not.

You'll need a big turbo and intercooler to go with those injectors as well as a new clutch and flywheel, you'll also need better brakes and suspension. I believe the PD130 may have a different cam profile.

£5k if you do most of the work yourself, realistic?

I've got a PD100, bought a seat sport FMIC and those cheap hard pipes from ebay, put a PD170 sort of hybrid, set of PD130/150 injectors (they are the same) and remapped it to around 180bhp, so didn't cost very much and got good gains really.

I'd do most of it my self  don't want to go to mad as once you start getting to 250-260bhp need to think about cams.

I know some country's that didn't get the vrs or pd130 polo's  have pushed the pd100 and got very good results 280+ on stock block and head all abit smoky mind

what's a good turbo/hybrid that's good for 220-240 bhp

If you stick to~ 220BHP you won't need to change the standard exhaust system or airbox either which is another useful saving and helps keep it a street sleeper.

Also above 230bhp you'll need uprated injectors that aren't cheap

220bhp is definitely the sweet spot imo. Can keep most things stock and still get a nice powerful car.

once your above that you'll start getting problems with clutches/flywheels, injectors, bigger turbos, need a LSD so an extra few thousand for an extra 40bhp or so.

Your money though :)
