Yes, that sounds about right - not the full-blown PHSSST! that you get with an atmospheric blow-off valve (or one of the fake BOV sound generators!) - it's more of a "khaaah" sound.

Some people like the "psst!" sound - the best way to get this is with an induction kit (do a search) which lets more of the DV sound out. As a bonus, it'll add a few BHP to your engine's output. Don't be tempted to get an atmospheric BOV - they don't suit the VAG 1.8 turbo - and "hybrid" BOVs are a bit suspect as well.

But did you get the Bailey fitted when you were at Jabbasport, ie are you comparing like with like? I can hear my (Bailey) DV now, but with an extra 65bhp under the bonnet I'm not exactly surprised that it has some work to do.

its probably ok, i didnt get the dv fitted at jabba, as an afterthought i got it fitted locally. The company who fitted it didnt inspire much confidence in me thats all.

As said by Mike the "psstsh" noise is normal for the Bailey......under certain circumstances you could have heard the OEM DV.

I believe hybrid DV are better suited to non-remapped cars.........I think quite a few peeps who have had remaps have had problems with hybrids.
