Had a phone call from the car dealer to say my new Superb will be ready for collection on 19th Sept 

This will be my 4th Superb but the 1st Petrol model so will be quite different to drive I'm sure.

What engine?

1.4 Petrol 150  SEL Executive with 7 speed DSG box, 

Same spec as mine. I am very happy with mine and I'm sure you will be too

What colour did you go for? mines Petrol Blue with Beige interior - saw one in the local showroom and swmbo loved it so had to go with that combo. Personally I liked the Quartz Grey but the Blue did look nice i must admit.

I got business grey with alcantara black interior.  I only saw the base blue in the showroom and thought it was ghastly so I thought i was left with shades of grey as I already had a silver car and I don't like white.

Saw a petrol blue one in a car park after I had bought mine and I would have gone for that colour if I had seen it.

Good choice!  Petrol Blue and beige interior looks really good IMO but then I would say that!  I get lots of compliments on mine.  Interesting that you are going to the petrol engine and looking forward to hearing how you get on with it.  Will be much smoother than the diesel of course.  I'd be tempted myself if I wasn't doing higher mileage.
