Persisting engine judder

Featured Replies

Hello again guys.

I've just had my clutch/flywheel kit replaced on my 2.0 BKD and hurray, the morning clatter and rattle at cold is gone. No more judder in first gear either.

However, I was hoping this would solve the judder my engine has while at idle and while braking in neutral but aparently it didn't....

So now I am worried because it's down to something with the engine. This is happening even with the aux belt off. I should also mention there is no code shown by vcds. The car pulls and drives well. Fuel consumption is exactly as it should be...

I did notice a slight non linear and not rev related "buf-buf" coming from the engine itself.... Almost as if there is something in there but i always thought its because of the flywheel....  Anyone else would not hear it unless they know the car like I do.

I do have a mechanics stethoscope, what should I try to listen to?

Engine mounts are in real good condition. Even had the bottom dual rubber round mounts swapped out together with the clutch.

Its not a caliper kind of wobble :( wish it were...
