External temperature sensor issues.

Featured Replies

So now I have this issue with my Fabia and it is that the temperature reading for the enviroment is not working properly.

I have a picture of the actual temperature vs the reading my car has.

If you have been driving your car and parked up for maybe an hour or so, the indicated temperature can be a lot higher than ambient due to heat from the engine cooling radiator affecting that sensor due to where it is located. If you are noticing this "error" first thing in the morning or another time when the car has not been driven for maybe 6 or 8 hours, then you have a problem probably with that systems sensor probe.

Edit:- and you are making some of us very jealous of your present ambient temperature!

The sensor is mounted in the N/S/F air dam below the bumper where your fog light fits, make sure the terminals are clean and dry.

Thanks you but this started to happen a couple of days ago, it was pretty accurate before.

Issue was solved, it was moved from its original possition which caused to give a faulty reading. I put it back to its possition and it is accurate again.
