Skoda Kodiaq Ride Quality

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just took delivery of a 2017 Skoda Kodiaq 1.4TSI 4WD (non DCC)  and overall I am very pleased with the vehicle. I've come from a 2011 VW Passat Estate, and the ride quality of the Kodiaq does feel firmer, particularly on poorer condition roads where you can feel the bumps of the road more. I'm sure this is something that will just take some time to get used to, but any feedback from other Kodiaq drivers on ride quality/comfort?

It's great

Yup on standard springs it'll be stiffer than DCC however since you're on an Ambition Plus you probably have the 18" rims so it should be fairly similar to how my Kodiaq will be on 19" and DCC (set on normal). It's definitely bumpy at lower speeds however the dampening gets better at higher speeds. It's the price you pay for the handling

Make sure the tyres aren't over inflated.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Once again, it's not at all overly firm - just interested in getting your thoughts. I'll check the tyre pressure, what would you recommend for the 18 inch tyres?

The tyre pressures are mentioned in the fuel cap, depending on load.
