I had that, turned it off as didn't work then a couple months later turned it on again to see what would happen and it worked fine after that!!

I have turned on, Auto lock doors, one press unlock all doors, lock and unlock beep, needle sweep when ignition is turned on (because racecar) and changed the language of the car to Australian so I get big MPH readout on the Maxi-Dot (settings then check alternate dials in the maxi-dot).

If you do the big MPH readout remember to change it back to non alternate dials to pass MOT as you loose KMH readout.

Great app and I have diagnosed a faulty DPF sensor for my car, a friends failed spark plug (miss fire code) and my dads Volvo EGR sensor failure!

The Km/h reading is not required in the UK to pass a UK MOT.

I did fancy changing this to big mph reading, but knowing only had app for 1 month didn't want to be changing it back for uk mot! It would useful for when driving dead on 30mph for known speed trap zones

Yeah its discovered coolant sensor fault on mine but yet carista couldn't discover the missfires I used to get on the denso plugs, car was effectively running on 3 plugs for 2 weeks, stuttering at low revs but no lights on dash, but picked up on vcds.

I check where dead on 30 mph is by driving at a Digital Sign after changing tyre sizes.  (towards one, not at it as such.)

It is usually when the car shows about 33 mph...

You dont have to change it back to UK, just need to uncheck alternate dials in the maxi dot settings :) Mine passed its MOT fine this week without changing it back to UK

  • 4 weeks later...
