Any tips on the above? I ideally want to remove the plastic from my instrument panel, but can't see how it unclips, any help would be great!

 

secondly, one of the led lights in the instrument panel has been marked out, in what looks like permenant maker. Is there any way of getting this off so I can see the light behind it ?

I removed mine, you need to pull off the meter needles leaving the steppers on the PCB then just release all the clips and the whole thing just lifts off.

 

Use a Q Tip soaked in electrical contact cleaner to clean the LED.

Thanks for that... it's the clear plastic on the front I need to remove, the marker is on the front of the dials, not the actual led 

There are plastic tags all the way around it that you bend upwards.

So nothing like what you said in your initial post then, if you want the right answer you have to ask the right question 

I know what I meant!
