Sweeeet. Hope the front suspension is beefed up a bit. :D

WOW !!! That is fantastic !

That'll be Meteor engine, as in out of a Centurion tank, also as in out of a Spitfire (Supermarine, not Triumph!) minus the superchargers. Something like 650bhp, which is doubtless more than enough - same as the Ruf RT12! (although that's only 3.9 litres, which is a bit  in itself!!!)

According to snopes.com, it's a bit of a junkyard special - so double-mega-respect to the guy! :bowdown1:

I bet that has some torque ;)

so 120mph at 1500rpm...

How high does that engine rev?

are they going to stick a supercharger and turbo on it ? :D

I'm not sure there's any point with all that torque - the tyres on the road are the biggest problem I'd guess.

Very similar problem happened on Bugatti Veyron. JC did mention this on Top Gear IIRC.

didnt someone already do this though,i seem to remember a gold rover with a spitfire engine in it many years ago:confused:

there have been a few 27 litre cars out there

The Meteor rev to 2400rpm at which point it will be producing 610bhp  :D

I'm going to the show they are talking about at the weekend. I live just minutes outside of Rutland and *will* be looking to be scared s**tless when it's finished.

I have already been shot gun in a twin engined Westfield which has 300bhp in 500kgs (do the numbers) and that was fun!

Too Fast? No such thing!
