Well after 7 years, I've traded my vrs in for a mk3 vrs..

Well after over 7 years and me driving 120k and taking the mileage up to 175k, I've said goodbye to my PD vrs and got a mk3 tdi vrs in corrida red...

I tried to hang on to see the magical 200k on the dash, but I think it would have cost me a bit of cash to do that, the abs pump had just gone, which was going to cost £350ish to repair, also on original clutch and dpf, so there was possibly another grand waiting to be spent,  and i had already spent £600 since xmas on new brakes, shockers and starter motor, so decided to get rid !

A great car and I hope the mk3 vrs is just as good, I've only had the new car since Sunday and I'm impressed, I think the interior is a step-up from the mk2...

I just hope it behaves itself !

I also forget to mention...

I think I will miss the 'punch acceleration ' you get from the PD engine as opposed to the cr engine, but I suppose you can't have everything !

Hope you enjoy your new car,ive had a mk1 & mk 2 octy vrs & i loved the mk2 & kept it for 6 years, ive now gone over to VW  & bought a Golf R,i just found the mk3 vrs didnt do it for me as i thought it looks a bit bland,it just didnt feel like a upgrade to me from the mk2 but thats just my opinion. :) im sure there are many happy mk3 owners around....i do hate the facelift front end though...:D
