Removable HDD mount

Featured Replies

Afternoon girls ....

It's been a while!

I'm after suggestions for removable drive rack I can fit in front drive bay for a work PC, we remove the drive each day and lock it in a safe, this means it's left hanging out of the tower each and of course I stood on it this morning! Luckily the sata power connector snapped rather than the drive end.

I've seen a few on Amazon but the reviews ain't great, it's for 2.5 SSD so doesn't need much cooling (if any). Just after something that is happy being removed each day and can connect to the motherboard as it's the system (C) drive.

Answer on a postcard to the usual address.

TIA

Nice thread guys, nice solution. My ssd is held in with sticky tape - next week I can mount and remove it! Just need an SSD to USB box to use it with the laptop - one drive to rule them all!

Cool thanks fellas, they are the ones I have looked at and as said the reviews ain't up too much.(Longevity being the main issue) Looking for something a bit higher end if possible.

That said I've had a good read and the reviews vary, I think I'll give the Icy dock a go.

Thanks again.
