Don't laugh at me but.....how do you disconnect this connector??

I have tried to disconnect it but it´s grip don't let it go. I have pushed the red button at both sides but nothing happens.

What is the trick?

I'm afraid to break something if I use force.

 

 

 

The plug is the black connector the purple bit is in. The arm that sticks out to the end of the lighter half is how it attaches. A flat blade screwdriver should be enough. There is possibly an arm on the other side too.
