Scout parts question

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2010 Octavia scout tdi

There is exhaust gasses escaping from the engine iv tried to look but failed

So I rang skoda asked just for a price on a manifold they said 1300 quid as the turbo is attached ouch so I rang a diffrent skoda they said my manifold was the plastic one he did not give a price as I'm confused now as it looks ali or cast

When I Google parts for the scout not a lot comes up I bet if I Google Audi engin a lot will come up so what else can I put in Google ranthen than the scout engin what Audi or vw has the same engin so I can put in Google thanks

Look at the sticker under the boot carpet and or the back of the user manual - it will have a 3 or 4 digit alpha character code for the engine, most probably BKD if its an early 2010 car with PD engine or the CFHC for a later CR tdi engine car.

Intake manifold will be plastic, exhaust cast iron / steel.

I'd imagine it's possibly a seal or gasket gone rather than an exhaust manifold - but please seek professional advice from a mechanic etc.
