indicator lights and flat battery

Featured Replies

Hi, have issues with my indicator lights. They come on randomly, sometimes left and sometimes right. Sometimes i am bale to off by turning indicator switch on to the similar side. The indicator works fine to opposite side. Swich lever is chacked and found ok. After two days in my garage without any courtesy or indicator light coming on the battery now went totally flat. Could it be battery capacity ? The battery was fully charged but still had this problem ? could it be a module ? Superb 2, 2010 model.

If it's original battery - then it's 7 years old and looks like needs to be replaced.

Thanks, yes it is. Would it be likely it could affect the controller for indicators in this way due to low voltage ?

Low battery can show you a lot of ghosts :) especially xmas lights on dashboard;)

Tnxs. Keep me posted if anyone had the same problem.

No1. priority - change the battery.

There are plenty of theads on here revealing how the Superb often shows some very strange (and often completely unrelated) faults / symptoms when the battery begins to fail.

Check 2: BCM module.

Check 3: Faulty indicator stalk.

Measured the battery to 2.4 Volts today !!!!

Put in another laying around measured 12.3v so put to charge disconnected. Lets hope car starts tomorrow...

2.4V = scrap.
