Rear Parking Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi

I pressure washed a rear parking sensor back into my car earlier this year. It was at 45 degrees. I did a quick fix and superglued it back straight.

I now have the time to fix it properly. Has anyone done this? How is it supposed to stay attached to the bumper?

Thanks

Anyone?

I've had similar with my mk2. All I did was push it back into place and it's been good as gold ever since.

On my Mk2 Scout, not sure about other models, it was possible to reach up underneath the bumper to push them back in.  Had to resort to some new self adhesive pads to prevent regular recurrence.  Mk3 had been fine until somebody drove into the back & I had to have new bumper .  One of the sensors dropped back inside after a month, impossible to access from underneath,  bumper has to come off, took it back to the bodyshop that did the original repair.  Sorted while I waited but took over an hour, sensors are simply stuck on so easily dislodged.  They reckon bumpers are supplied complete with the sensors so blaming Skoda.
