Citigo Rocks?

Featured Replies

Apropos of nothing, what are the chances of Skoda et al jumping on the band wagon & introducing a Rocks version al la Vauxhall Viva Rocks?

This type of car appears to be very much in vogue so must(?) be popular. I quite like  the idea of a car with greater ground clearance in view of the appalling 3rd world roads we suffer these days. Dennis.

would be a citigo scout surely

'Scout-line',  Like the All new 3rd generation  Fabia Scout-line that never came to the UK.

Scout-line, Sportline, Spaceback,'Sport', Monte Carlo, funny how Skoda use names for Models & trim lines that are show and no extra go,

or much of substance. Even calling them vRS is taking the pith really these days. They only come in fat models, Family / Taxi sized.

(VW T-Roc.... lets see what it can do!)

Time coming soon that the next Fabia will have rear wheel drive from the Light Hybrid / rear electric motors driving wheels,

and not just the 'Suitable for rough road looks' and only front wheel drive and 'plastic fantastic bash guards' and no actual clearance

or tyres other than 'All Seasons', which are just Summer Tyres / ECO tyres really.

Not cheap but the Seat Arona is coming and then the Skoda version. Fabia SUV type thing, (Not a YETI Replacement) all the 4x4 looks and not the drivetrain or ability for very much other than car parking on grass , trail or a farm track with no hump in the middle.

If a Citigo was hiked a little it would be a bit Suzuki Ignis like, just not as good, Short wheel base but still handles and enough ground clearance,

& the difference being the Ignis gets Light Hybrid, Part Time AWD, and if you go without that a Automated Manual better than a VW Group ASG.

For a Short Wheel Base AWD / City car the new Jimny will be out sometime in the UK, maybe late next year.

I like the look of the new Suzuki Ignis, I'd have one if I could get the right lease deal. The roads to my new place of work are pretty ****e, so something along these lines would be ideal

Problem with Suzuki is the insurance - for me, an octowhatsit, their insurance premiums are way up on Skoda/Seat. I agree the Ignis looks good on paper is it worth the extra insurance tho'? The Jimmy is getting too complicated for its own good. Thanks for replies. Dennis.

Looked at the Ignis available on eBay and changed my mind. It's too narrow and looks odd from behind.

Dan, Thanks, but I am not dissatisfied with my current insurer. My comment re insurance for the Suzuki range is that the quoted insurance numbers are greater than for similar cars of other makes.
