Outer cv joint

Featured Replies

Morning all . I'm thinking my vrs is needing an outer cv , as I'm getting a click on full rhs lock . I've seen a few people have fitted j&r joibts . Are they any good ?? Reviews look bad ..

Regards Tony

I wouldn't, get a name brand for OEM quality.

As sepulchrave says, buy a well known brand. Buy cheap buy twice. A few people on here have bought ecp ones and had them let go very badly 6 months down the line

I enquired about a genuine Skoda outer CV join a while ago and it was £120 and they wanted the old CV joint back (exchange).

I have a Euro Car Parts one fitted at the minute and it is knocking, only did a couple thousand miles before it started making clonking noises, the CV boot that came in the kit split after a 1500 miles and when I tried to replace it the outer CV joint would not split from the shaft, I had to take the inner joint off and put the new CV boot on that way........so I recommend staying away from cheap CV joints!!
